Change your mind, change your body. Complete each day’s move and mindfulness prompt for a more mindful, stronger you through this holiday season (play add-on, stacking moves, for an extra challenge). Stick around through the 31st for more opportunities to develop your mindful body.
For the posterior chain, pelvic alignment, and of course, the glutes.
Mindfulness Prompt | Connect
Take a few minutes to do something that connects you to the deepest, most genuine aspects of who you are. Go for a walk, write in your journal, take a class, or go to a favorite place. As you approach the New Year and any changes you’re looking to make, disconnect from the exterior expectations of goal setting and connect to your deepest, most sincere desires. Lead with who you are to carve the path to your best body. Envision how fitness and wellness fit your life and personality.
For your centerline connection, inner thighs to pelvic floor.
Mindfulness Prompt | Own Up
Write down all the things that keep you from feeling/moving/eating your best. What beliefs limit you from making the choices you want to make? What habits keep you from feeling great? What/who do you blame for not being/looking/feeling the way you want to?
It’s your whole body vibe-ing together with bonus core work.
Mindfulness Prompt | Reflect
Write down the times in your life that you have felt most connected to your body. When have you felt most at ease in your body? What are some of the factors that have contributed to feeling great in the past?
Test your alignment and control.
Mindfulness Prompt | Act
Again, set three (pleasant) alarms on your phone. When each alarm goes off, first observe, then, Act - do something good for your body based on how you’re feeling - guzzle some water, breathe for 5 minutes, or stretch out. How many small things can you do today to honor your body? And how can you respond to your body in a healthy way?
Wake up the core + move your spine.
Mindfulness Prompt | Identify
Write down what your best body looks and feels like. What kind of mindset does it involve? What kind of freedom does it allow you?
Get your spine moving + connect deep. This is your warm up for the week.
Mindfulness Prompt | Observe
Set three (pleasant) alarms on your phone for different times of the day to remind yourself to check-in with how you’re feeling. Don’t overthink it or obsess about why. Just stop and observe energy, stress levels, emotions, whatever’s going on. Take the time to listen and to feel. How do you feel walking around in your body? What do you wish was different.
